Amaryllis Flower Broke Off

Cut the flower stalks off.
Amaryllis flower broke off. Amaryllis can be easily propagated from seed but is most often accomplished by way of offsets or cuttage of amaryllis bulblets. Compared to most flowers amaryllis bulbs are easily encouraged to bloom additional times but for best results they require proper treatment year round to ensure they are developing correctly through each season. I planted it in the soil thinking that might save the blossoms but not being experienced with this plant i don t know what to do or what to expect.
The other day a very sad thing happened that brought with it considerable disappointment and really really spoilt my day. Amaryllis flowers usually appear in winter or spring and last several weeks before fading. My amaryllis broke so i made a cut flower i hate disappointment which probably sounds odd because its not an emotion anybody exactly enjoys but i really do not cope with it well.
Amaryllis is a popular plant grown in many homes and gardens. After the amaryllis bulb has been potted up and flowered cut off the flower stalk with a sharp knife. An amaryllis bulb purchased at a garden center or other retail business typically blooms 6 to 8 weeks after the bulb is potted up.
I got an amaryllis plant for christmas that just bloomed but i guess the blossoms were just heavy enough to where it broke off. While you can propagate amaryllis by seed it will take them at least three to five years to mature or flower. Be careful not to cut into any leaves.
This is the crucial time for your amaryllis where you will be nurturing it until it reblooms again for you the following year.
